Larkin H. Peters

Since joining Rockwell & Kaufman in 2009, Larkin has utilized her experience in medical malpractice and insurance defense litigation to provide direct representation of nursing homes, physicians, and nurses as well as dentists and other medical professionals in both Alabama and Mississippi. Larkin’s unique experience also includes handling natural disaster and insurance claims, transportation cases, and construction disputes in both state and federal courts.

Larkin is a graduate of the Alabama State Bar’s exclusive Leadership Forum and has received the highest  “AV-Preeminent” rating by Martindale-Hubbell ® Peer Review Ratings ™ since 2012. She was named a 2013 and 2014 “Rising Star” in Alabama by America’s Super Lawyers as well.  She is a graduate of Georgetown University, cum laude, and earned her juris doctorate from the University of Alabama in 2003.  Larkin authored an article detailing expert qualifications across the nation early in her her career, which is still cited in Alabama’s preeminent evidence text.

Larkin is an active member of both the Alabama and Mobile Bar Associations and has served on numerous committees for each, including the State Bar’s Young Lawyers Committee, the Mobile Bar’s Law Day Committee and the Board of Directors of the Mobile Bar Association’s Volunteer Lawyer Program, which has since expanded to become the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program.  For over a decade, Larkin has worked with the VLP Board, serving in various capacities including Vice President and Executive Committee member.  During that time, she helped orchestrate an extensive media and marketing campaign as well as aided in the program’s expansion to include surrounding Baldwin, Clarke and Washington Counties, in an effort to reach more of the area’s under served population.

Larkin  is involved in her community and church, raising funds for the American Cancer Society and serving on both the Vestry and the Children’s Ministry team. Larkin is married with four children.
